It has made me appreciate when I have gotten to read!
I also completely understand the wanting to read more quality over quantity! I said I wanted to read 75 books, but if I only got to 50 & they were all books I enjoyed I would be happy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01781828287211529221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5540391831818595631.post-15119312421486665692016-06-23T15:33:34.251-04:002016-06-23T15:33:34.251-04:00This is so true!!! And I definitely felt pressured to join reading challanges when I first started blogging, but I don't want to look at reading like that. I think everyone should just read what they want when they want. And med school is hard!! I can't imagine pressure of trying to keep up with a regular reading schedule on top of that. Great topic, Sierra! :)Bryce Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12074635705174367727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5540391831818595631.post-64899083728138864362016-06-23T12:50:23.688-04:002016-06-23T12:50:23.688-04:00Great post Sierra! I saw a great post by Denise @ The Bibliolater blog where she said that its ok not to read sometimes. And I totally stand by that. It's ok to have some distance sometimes!paperbackprincesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07446601964387517150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5540391831818595631.post-33616066748675936972016-06-23T10:26:57.782-04:002016-06-23T10:26:57.782-04:00Haha thank you! Do reading your way Sierra, and don't let anyone tell you different!

I read a ridiculously large amount - but that's because I want to, and luckily I'm quite a fast reader (or lord knows I'd forget to eat and sleep.) And because books and blogging are two of the things that keep me going when I'm having a bad day. Also, I've developed the ability to read a book and watch a TV show at the same time. Don't judge me. I love TV.

I don't read books just because everybody else has read them, unless I respect the opinions and enthusiasm of those people, and genuinely think I'd like to try the book.

Forcing yourself will just a) sap your enthusiasm, and b) exhaust you and make you ill. Do things your way. Take a break from reading (gasp!) if you need to. And know that the books will still be there when you get back :)Cee Arr @ Dora Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04074909561530525221noreply@blogger.com
